About this venue
HUB International Theatre is the main proscenium theatre within the Chilliwack Cultural Centre, with a capacity of 575 seats. Its traditional stage-to-auditorium arrangement is combined with modern theatrical infrastructure, allowing the venue to accommodate plays, dance productions, concerts, comedy and other live performances. The relatively intimate scale also helps maintain a close connection between performers and the audience.
The auditorium is divided into lower and upper orchestra sections, with designated wheelchair positions and some flexibility in the seating configuration. A professional reinforced sound system, theatrical lighting and technical facilities support productions ranging from spoken theatre to live music. Before entering the auditorium, visitors can also use the Centre's shared lobby, where the box office, refreshments and other visitor facilities are located.
The theatre is located at 9201 Corbould St, Chilliwack, Canada. Free street parking and nearby parking lots are available around the Centre, while a designated passenger drop-off and pick-up area is positioned directly outside the main entrance for convenient access to the building. About the city
Chilliwack, a city in British Columbia's Fraser Valley, combines the relaxed atmosphere of a smaller Canadian city with a diverse offering of sports, music and culture. Chilliwack Coliseum is one of the main venues for hockey, other sporting events and larger concerts, while Chilliwack Cultural Centre hosts theatre, music and other performing arts programs. Thanks to a combination of venues, restaurants, craft breweries and different accommodation options in and around the city, attending an event can easily be turned into a short stay in the Fraser Valley.
Getting around Chilliwack relies on the road network and buses operated by BC Transit – Chilliwack Transit System, connecting the centre with different neighbourhoods and important destinations. Route 66 Fraser Valley Express connects Downtown Chilliwack with Lougheed Town Centre Station, where connections are available to the TransLink network and the SkyTrain system in Metro Vancouver. Trans-Canada Highway 1 runs alongside the city and makes it easier to reach venues, sports complexes and accommodation by car. For air travel, visitors can use Abbotsford International Airport (YXX) and Vancouver International Airport (YVR), while Chilliwack Airport (YCW) serves private, training and charter aviation.
Before or after a concert or sporting event, it is worth exploring Downtown Chilliwack and the pedestrian-friendly District 1881, a revitalized part of the historic city centre with restaurants, cafés, shops, murals and distinctive laneways. The Five Corners area adds to the historic character of the centre, while nature lovers can walk along the Vedder River or head toward Cultus Lake, known for its lake, forests and mountain scenery. This combination of an urban centre, riverside walks and nature makes it easy to complement an event visit with sightseeing in one of the Fraser Valley's distinctive destinations.
