About this venue

Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) is a large exhibition and convention complex in the Kemayoran area, designed for international trade fairs, congresses, business events, concerts and other large-scale programmes. The complex covers approximately 44 hectares and includes around 50,000 m² of indoor exhibition halls and more than 50,000 m² of outdoor space. Its convention facilities include a Grand Ballroom of approximately 2,700 m² together with smaller ballrooms and meeting rooms, allowing layouts to be adapted to different types of events.

Inside, the venue is designed to handle large visitor flows, with spacious halls, foyers, food and beverage facilities and technical infrastructure for both business and entertainment events. The complex also includes the three-tier JIEXPO Theatre, offering approximately 2,500 seats and a Meyer Sound Constellation acoustic system, while other spaces can be configured for exhibitions, conferences, banquets and a wide range of event formats. This combination of large halls and specialised facilities makes JIEXPO one of Jakarta's major venues for large-scale events.

The complex is located at Jl. Benyamin Suaeb, RW.10, Pademangan Tim., Kec. Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia. Visitors arriving by car can use several parking areas within the JIEXPO grounds, including the large West Parking area, providing convenient access to the venue entrances. During selected major events, the JIEXPO Kemayoran bus stop is approximately a one-minute walk from the complex; for wider transport options across Jakarta, the city information below provides additional guidance.

About the city

Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, is one of Southeast Asia’s largest urban centers and a strong destination for sports, concerts and major city events. The city combines modern business districts, large stadiums, arenas and a vibrant cultural scene, giving visitors much more than just the event itself. Its dynamic pace, diverse food scene and wide range of accommodation make Jakarta a practical choice for a short stay, whether the main reason is a football match, a major music show or a festival program.

The city’s connectivity relies on several important transport systems, including MRT Jakarta, TransJakarta, the KRL Commuter Line and the airport train known as KA Bandara. Travelers arriving by plane most often use Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, while key railway stations include Gambir Station, Pasar Senen Station and Jakarta Kota Station. Thanks to the combination of metro, city buses, commuter trains and taxis, access to venues such as Gelora Bung Karno, Indonesia Arena or Jakarta International Stadium can be planned flexibly, with routes chosen according to accommodation location and departure time.

Before or after an event, it is worth setting aside time for a walk through the historic area of Kota Tua, where the older colonial layer of the city can be felt around Fatahillah Square. For a different view of Jakarta, visitors can explore the National Monument, walk along waterfront areas or discover districts filled with restaurants, shopping centers and cafés. This combination of major events, transport accessibility and urban attractions makes Jakarta a city where a sports or music program can easily become a complete city experience.
