Palazzetto dello Sport, also known as PalaTiziano, is one of Rome’s distinctive arenas built for the 1960 Olympic Games. Designed by architect Annibale Vitellozzi and engineer Pier Luigi Nervi, the circular venue is defined by its elegant reinforced-concrete dome and a structure that combines practical event use with significant 20th-century architectural heritage. The arena accommodates approximately 3,500 spectators in its basketball configuration and hosts basketball, volleyball, concerts and other events.
