Winsupply Theatre is the main auditorium within the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center and one of Dayton's most distinctive performing arts venues. Designed by architect César Pelli, the theatre accommodates around 2,300 guests. Its defining architectural feature is a domed ceiling with concentric rings of fiber-optic lights recreating the night sky over Dayton on the eve of the Wright brothers' first flight, while the multi-level seating design combines the scale of a major theatre with strong visual connection to the stage.
The venue is designed for plays, Broadway-style musicals, opera, ballet, orchestral concerts and other live performances. Advanced acoustics and clear sightlines are central to the auditorium's design, with seating arranged across the orchestra, loge, lower balcony and upper balcony levels.
