Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is one of Southeast Asia's most important centres for entertainment, sport and major events. Hoàn Kiếm Lake and the Old Quarter are ideal for walking through the historic centre, while Ba Đình Square, the Temple of Literature and areas along the Red River provide further insight into the history, architecture and everyday life of the Vietnamese capital.
